Chamounix polo ponies capture titles in 2012

Strawberry raced well this spring and had various kids ride her in races but jockey's Shariah Harris and Sydney Rutledge were responsible to getting her across the finish line to win the  Delaware Valley Point to Point large pony division in 2012. She tied for 1st place with Super Sally and received a beautiful leather halter for her efforts.

Chamounix and WTR riders success at NW Horse Show

Chamounix Stable made it's annual trek to the NW Horse show in May. It's a tradition which all of the Chamounix Students and WTR students look forward to every year. A couple dozen kids spend Saturday bathing horses, cleaning  tack and getting show clothes together. Its a herculean effort and thank goodness we  don't have to braid manes and tails! Everyone rode out  of the arena with ribbons and some championships. We were especially proud of Sheree for finishing her courses despite her recalcitrant mount Jane.

Cowtown/WTR wins National Polo Championship

The Cowtown/Work to Ride team of Daymar Rosser, Brandon Rease and Julia Smith captured the United States Polo Association National Interscholastic Polo title View All Updates

Cowtown/WTR wins S. E Regional Polo Championship

The Cowtown/Work to Ride team of Daymar Rosser, Brandon Rease and Julia Smith took the SE Regional Polo Tournament by storm  as they defeated the young talented team from Natania, VA 24 to 9. The Natania team, while having a lot  of  raw talent, had a hard time  keeping up with  seasoned CT/WTR team.  Julia Smith, new to the CT/WTR open team this year, proved that you never play a girl for a miss.

Spring Pony Racing and Field Master Chase

Every spring the crew from Chamounix Stable participates in pony racing at the local point to point steeple chase races in the Unionville area. This year we will have three or four of our younger girls ages 9 to 11 racing for the  first time.  last  week alone at the Brandywine Valley pony races we  have 6 kids racing ! It  was fabulous and made possible by local horsewoman and  veterinarian Rose Nolan who lent us two of her daughters ponies to race.
